### Kimi K3 full weights are now available
Moonshot AI has published the complete Kimi K3 model weights on Hugging Face. The 2.8-trillion-parameter model supports native vision and a one-million-token context window for long-horizon coding, knowledge work and reasoning. Moonshot also says it still trails the strongest proprietary models overall, while the full technical report remains pending.
**AI take:** Full weights enable private deployment and modification. K3 is still not a consumer local model: its recommended scale can cost over RMB 70,000 per cloud day, while equivalent servers cost tens of millions of yuan.

### CXMT closes roughly 466% higher on its Shanghai debut
Memory-chip maker CXMT closed at RMB 49 on its first day on Shanghai's STAR Market, about 466% above its RMB 8.66 offer price. It raised roughly RMB 57.9 billion and ended with a market value near RMB 3.3 trillion as AI-server demand and expectations for domestic memory supply drew investors.
**AI take:** First-day value reflects offering structure and trading sentiment, not a sudden jump in technical capability. New funds can expand DRAM output, but they do not instantly close gaps in advanced products such as HBM.
### NVIDIA invests in SSI and plans an order-of-magnitude compute expansion
NVIDIA announced an investment in Ilya Sutskever's Safe Superintelligence and access to the Vera Rubin platform. The companies say SSI's available compute will increase by an order of magnitude, but they disclosed neither the investment size nor a model or research result.

**AI take:** AI is moving from drafting text to operating specialist engineering tools. The real threshold is repeatable signoff-quality results, not the fastest demonstration.
### Industry groups form an open AI security alliance
NVIDIA, Microsoft, the Linux Foundation, Hugging Face, IBM, CrowdStrike and others launched the Open Secure AI Alliance. It plans open tools for agent identity, permissions, isolation, auditing, vulnerability discovery and evaluation.
**AI take:** A strong membership list is not a security standard. Value depends on usable, interoperable tools that organizations actually adopt.
### LG's 600kW liquid-cooling unit passes NVIDIA validation
LG Electronics says its 600kW coolant distribution unit passed NVIDIA AI Factory validation across more than 100 criteria. The direct-to-chip system is part of a broader cooling portfolio, and LG plans validation work on 1MW, 2.5MW and 4MW units.
**AI take:** AI infrastructure competition now includes cooling and power, not only chips. Validation can lower procurement risk, but it does not prove large orders have arrived.
### CaoCao tests robotaxis without an onboard safety driver in Hangzhou
CaoCao Mobility announced a small, limited-area test on public roads in Hangzhou's Binjiang district. The vehicles have no driver-seat safety operator, use fixed-station dispatch and connect to a remote platform for monitoring, assistance and incident handling.
**AI take:** Driverless here means no safety operator inside the car, not no human support. Scale, intervention rates, safety records and operating cost are the next tests.
### A generative model simulates surgical robots in real time
NVIDIA researchers presented Cosmos-H-Dreams, which generates the next surgical scene from robot actions for research tasks such as tabletop suturing. The team reports an increase from about 10 to about 160 frames per second on one RTX PRO 6000 for repeated policy training and evaluation.
**AI take:** Its value is safer, repeatable robot training and evaluation, not autonomous surgery. Transfer from simulation to real tissue remains unproven.
### OpenAI study finds AI use crossing job-task boundaries
OpenAI analyzed more than 800,000 messages from U.S. ChatGPT users. It says 16.8% of work-related messages involve tasks linked to another occupation; after excluding generic work such as writing and summarizing, the share is 43.5% among occupation-specific messages.
**AI take:** This measures task crossover, not job replacement. OpenAI supplied both the sample and classification method, so it cannot represent the whole labor market by itself.
### Robotics startup Enigma raises a roughly $70 million seed round
Enigma emerged from stealth with a seed round of roughly $70 million led by Index Ventures and Ribbit Capital. It plans robot-agnostic control models and interfaces, using the money for staff, compute and real-world deployments.
**AI take:** The unusually large seed round shows investor appetite for the robotics software layer. Funding and a public demo are not proof of scaled commercialization.

NVIDIA is reportedly discussing a financing guarantee of up to roughly $250 billion to help OpenAI lease a planned 10GW SoftBank data-center campus in Ohio. The backstop may cover lease and project debt but not NVIDIA chips inside the facility; terms and amounts remain under discussion.
**AI take:** If completed, NVIDIA would become a credit backer as well as a chip supplier, tying sales more closely to data-center debt risk.
