Four-Stage Wallpaper Time Switch
A generated-art four-stage wallpaper switch now sits at the site's upper right for morning, noon, afternoon, and night. It follows local time by default; a manual choice lasts until the next real schedule boundary, with an interruptible moving lens and wallpaper crossfade.
# Four-Stage Wallpaper Time Switch
The site's upper-right corner now contains a four-stage control synchronized with the desktop wallpaper: morning, noon, afternoon, and night.
## Automatic time and manual choice
- The default remains device-local time, with the next wallpaper period beginning at 05:00, 11:00, 17:00, and 20:00.
- A manual selection changes the wallpaper immediately and remains active only until the next real boundary, when local-time automation resumes.
- Refreshes and sibling browser tabs recognize a valid choice; expired or tampered records are discarded.
## Artwork and motion
The four period illustrations and moving lens are generated image assets. CSS only supplies the four 44-pixel hit areas and layout. The shared lens moves between positions with a strong ease-in-out curve, while the wallpaper uses a rapidly retargetable crossfade.
## Keyboard and reduced motion
Arrow keys, Home, and End operate the four-radio group. Keyboard activation, reduced motion, and the site's motion-off mode commit without spatial travel. On mobile the control appears only at Home's upper right, outside the crowded account and language row.
