AI Can Read Japanese Progress and Submit Checked Attempts
Phase four adds account-bound Japanese progress reads and server-scored attempt submission to the local CLI/stdio MCP, with dedicated scopes, revision checks, and idempotency. The remote MCP remains undeployed.
# AI Can Read Japanese Progress and Submit Checked Attempts
Phase four closes the account progress loop for Behind the Japanese while preserving the browser application's existing cloud-sync behavior.
## New capabilities
- The local CLI and stdio MCP can read the current stage, unlocked stages, clear and medal totals, optional per-stage progress, and a bounded recent-activity view.
- An AI client can submit a stage ID, content revision and hash, plus selected options for every question. Score, clear status, medal, attempt count, and the next unlock are computed by the server; callers cannot supply them.
- Agent-assisted attempts are recorded as bilingual assisted mode and can earn at most bronze, so they cannot be presented as verified listening-only results.
## Authorization and consistency
Progress reads and attempt writes use separate, non-default least-privilege scopes. Writes verify the account, unlock state, content hash, progress revision, and operation ID. An identical request can be retried safely, while reusing an ID for different input is rejected. Device authorization polling now also recovers from bounded transient network failures.
The separate remote MCP Worker remains undeployed and has not received these account capabilities.
